RedShift’s management team is made up of senior executives from Avaya, Alcatel, Cisco, Lucent and several startup companies. Its engineering team has experience in building leading edge networking, telecommunications and security products in the global marketplace for enterprises and carriers. Their products are successes for companies such as Sun, Avaya, HP Labs, Cisco, Consentry, Netcontinum, NetDevices, and HP Labs.

Cofounders Amitava Mukherjee, CEO, and Phanindra Jujjavarapu, VP of Engineering, formed RedShfit Networks specifically with the purpose to protect Unified Communications applications. RedShift launched in early 2007 and has operations in Silicon Valley, California and Hyderabad, India.

Amitava Mukherjee - President, CEO & Co-Founder of RedShift Networks

Amitava has 18 years plus of experience in senior sales and engineering management roles in leading technologies companies in the security, networking and communications space. Prior to founding RedShift Networks, Amitava was VP of Sales and Business Development at Seclarity, VP of Regional Sales at Secure Computing (acquire by McAfee) and Regional General Manager at Avaya/VPNet. Amitava has been in senior engineering roles at Bay Networks (Coral Networks) and at Boston Technology (acquired by Comverse Networks). Amitava has a patent on integrated voicemail systems and worked at IBM’s TJ Watson Research Labs. Mr. Mukherjee earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Northeastern University in Boston.

Phanindra Jujjavarapu - Vice President of Engineering and Co-Founder of RedShift Networks

Phanindra has 20 years plus of hands on executive engineering management of software development operations across international cross-functional teams in startups and in leading technology companies. Mr. Jujjavarapu was VP of Engineering at IPInfusion that was sold to Access, and Founding CEO and VP of Software Engineering at Maple Optical Systems. Prior to this Mr. Jujjavarapu was in engineering management roles at Ascend Communications (bought by Lucent), Cisco Systems, Excelan (sold to Novell) and National Semiconductor. Phanindra received MS in Computer Science from Old Dominion University.

Srinivas Mantripragada, PhD – CTO & VP, Products

Dr. Srinivas is responsible for the overall product direction, technology and architecture at RedShift Networks. Srinivas comes with 16 plus years of experience in building and delivering cutting edge solutions in Systems, Networking, Security, Communications and Infrastructure. Prior to that Srinivas was VP, Technologies at Phoenix Technologies leading their cloud infrastructure efforts, CTO-office roles at NetContinuum (leader in Web Application Firewall category; acquired by Barracuda Networks) and Determina (leader in Host Intrusion Security; acquired by VMware). Srinivas was also at MIPS Technologies (acquired by SGI) and HP-Labs. Srinivas is a frequent speaker in leading conferences, driving numerous standards and authored more than 25+ publications with 8 patents. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from University of California, Irvine.

Jim Zeitlin – Vice President of Operations

Jim has over 20 plus years of executive sales, product and engineering experience in some of the world’s most renowned companies. Jim was most recently CEO/Founder of FourTen systems, a startup in the video space, and CEO/President at Klamath Networks. Prior to that Jim was CTO at VPackets and an EIR (Enterprenuer in Residence) at the VC firm Seven Rosen. Jim was also one of the first employees at Ascend Communications rising to the ranks of Vice President of their Internet Business Unit. Jim got his Physics Degree from University of California Berkeley.
