Leading UC-as-a-Service provider 8×8 research confirms the future of work is no longer about the workplace. Enabling the remote workforce is critical. Sixty percent (60%) of IT and CX leaders believe that by 2030, their office workforce will be predominantly hybrid; 22% believe their organization will be able to operate from anywhere. Eleven percent (11%) believe the future of work is remote, and just 7% believe work shifts back to primarily in-office.

Intermedia, the white label UCaaS provider for Costco, notes Frost & Sullivan data stating organizations are embracing flexible work styles and supporting many remote and hybrid workers are leveraging UCaaS and cloud collaboration for flexible and cost-effective connections among employees, customers, partners and prospects. Improved performance in terms of security, reliability, and quality of service, and network automation through SD-WAN are also fueling an increase in remote workforce numbers.
